5/2/15 - Liturgical Choir of Raleigh, North Carolina
On Saturday May 2, 2015, The Liturgical Choir will provide music for the 5:30 pm mass. The Liturgical Choir was founded in 2013 to serve Catholic campus ministry at North Carolina State University and Meredith College in Raleigh. They are an ensemble of students and community members who lead music at the Sunday evening campus ministry Mass during the school year at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Their repertoire includes hymns, chants, choral music from all ages, and the best of modern liturgical composition. 6/22/13 - Mercer University Children's Choir
On Saturday June 22, 2013, the Mercer University Children’s Choir provided the music for the 5:30 pm mass. The choir provides its choristers in grades 3 through 12 a unique and safe environment where musical skills are enhanced and grown, where choristers are introduced to healthy, classical singing technique, and where a wide variety of choral music is performed in its original language and in English. Rehearsals are led by a highly-trained, dedicated, and caring staff of music professionals who are committed to the training of young musicians. The choir was on the first day of its annual tour, visiting the cities of Savannah, Charleston and Myrtle Beach. Below are some of the pieces the choir performed.
